Stuff | PraiseBaby Collection

I am always amazed at how a beautiful melody can instantly uplift me when I am feeling down and I have experienced the same with my kids.  The best medicine for a cranky mood is a good song.  I could not imagine the world without music - it would certainly make the raising up of my children difficult.  We bought the PraiseBaby Collection DVD's when Danru was only 4 months old and I think it is one of the best investments we could have made. Let me tell you more......

If I say a few hundred times, I might be underestimating the amount of times we have listened to the PraiseBaby songs {we even got the CD's afterwards that we play in the car}!  The music on the DVD's are the most beautiful harmonies sang in the sweetest little voices and you can listen to it over and over. While the songs are playing, a variety of images and short video clips appear that include, animals, children playing, shapes and basically everything else you can think of.  The best part of it all is that it is gospel songs that teach the kids to praise and worship their Creator at the same time!

The songs are soothing and interesting at the same time, therefore you can use it to calm or even to excite your kids by explaining the images that come up.  My husband and Danru have this one special song, 'I'm Alive' - it so much fun for Danru when Johan picks him up and turns him around like an aeroplane when the song reaches its climax.  We also use the DVD's to unwind our kids before going to bed. I believe that you need to go to sleep feeling good and what better way to start the bedtime routine with.

The PraiseBaby Collection makes a great gift for babies or toddlers and I promise you the adults will watch too! You would be amazed at how a small baby will concentrate and pay attention to the colourful movements.  I am sure it expands their vocabulary too as they see such variety images here that they would not necessarily see in real life or books.  We play this game with Danru where he needs to tell us what is showing on the screen.

We try to expose our kids to a lot of music, even before they were born and you can see that they truly enjoy it. Danru loves singing, even if he can't pronounce the words properly, he sings along and Romé, well she recently started to make la-la sounds too when the music comes on! 

As I said, I could not imagine the world without music - Happy Singing!!
